Urban Bee Hive
Description
An urban paradox that draws a parallel between the extinction of pedestrians and urban bees, driven by gated cities and the decline of urban vegetation. Translated into design, the proposal introduces a network of follies distributed along walkable distances throughout the city, providing local services and commerce for pedestrians while activating “eyes on the street.” These structures incorporate bee-friendly urban gardens, supporting pollinator habitats and ensuring their survival.
