El Roble
Description
The urban design is developed based on site planning criteria aimed at preserving the environmental structure of the property, prioritizing the conservation of the largest possible green area and its landscape continuity. The road section is resolved using permeable pavers, promoting infiltration and reducing soil impermeabilization.
Grass-covered sidewalks are incorporated as part of the surface drainage system, complemented by a reforestation strategy that includes both high- and low-canopy vegetation, with the aim of improving the microclimate, providing shade, and reinforcing the character of the public space.
Additionally, a water feature is introduced in the area where a wetland previously existed, as a strategy to preserve the hydrological conditions of the site, maintaining its environmental characteristics and strengthening the project’s relationship with the existing landscape.
